Just a few weeks ago Rebecca & Neal’s winter wedding finally came around after a long time planning and it was clear just how much they had put into their special day. So here’s a post about it, just in time for Christmas! 🙂
It was lovely to see them share it so beautifully as a family, with their daughter as one of the cute flower girls and their brothers and sisters all playing their roles in the bridal party. Their daughter definitely stole the show on more than several occasions – not that Rebecca minded, just giving more encouragement if anything! Sharing in a wedding with such a close family is so special and there were many touching moments that I enjoyed capturing for them, a particular favourite was their daughter seeing Rebecca in her dress for the first time. It was when I went to see the Groom and his Groomsmen and found them all wearing buttonholes made from comic book pages that it really confirmed that I was onto a winner with this wedding!
The ceremony was beautiful and emotions were running high. Rebecca couldn’t stop smiling, particularly when she put the the ring on Neal’s wrong hand. Intimate and fun, you couldn’t ask for much more. With confetti throws and sparkler entrances, there was plenty going on throughout the day and given it was a December wedding they were so lucky with the weather. This meant we also had a few opportunities to get out for some couple shots, including popping out in-between courses.
The speeches even had me welling up they were so lovely, particularly Rebecca’s dad’s who is clearly a softy at heart. There was a bit of banter to break up the more soppy moments thought and when photos of Neal in ‘fetching’ superhero fancy dress were passed around there were only tears of joy (and some of humiliation of course). The table names continued the superhero theme and what better way to top off the occasion than with a batmobile wedding cake! Sadly Neal didn’t enter their first dance on a zip line from his utility belt, but not to worry, his daughter quickly showed them how it was supposed to be done on the dance floor.
Merry Christmas everyone!! I wish Rebecca and Neal all the best for 2018 and beyond as the Creightons! xx
We just want to say a massive thank you for not only creating some wonderful and priceless photos, but for truly capturing the most perfect moments.
